Episode 20 – Die Piefke Saga – Der Skandal – 1990

A real Austrian classic, is the target of the 20th episode of FFPÖ and I pulled out a good amount of stops for you guys: we have our first “professional” co-host with us this time in the great Tommy Meyer-Ortiz. He and I wax poetically about the Austrian landscape, the rift between Austrians and Germans, stereotypes and the crushing realism, that this movie portraits, without being to cynical or evil. But as always, tangents are ahead and we get lost a few times in the woods mad out of our own words.

Also, I lie about it being a two-parter at the end of the episode, disregard that.

Episode 10 – Das finstere Tal – The Dark Valley – 2014

For the 10th episode, we prepared something special, made in the US of A with a real New York comedian as my guest host Julianna D. Meagher, how exciting. We look at the 2014 break-out hit from Austria, The Dark Valley, an Austrian movie in the style of a western and we ask too many questions with too many answers in this behemoth of an episode.

Episode 9 – Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei – The Edukators – 2004

In a very special episode of FFPÖ we don’t have one American co-host but instead doubling down on the Austrian and we have a brand new guest co-host embodied by the funny and smart Florian Reichl and also a secret guest pops up, so stay tuned for our review of The Edukators, a movie from 2004 that revolutionized Austrian and German filmmaking and with a message that still rings true today.
