Episode 35 – Indien – India – 1993

The crazy talented Hanna Evensen is back and she brought us an additional co-host, represented in Paris. And since having two people here at the same time means that I lose all control over the situation, the podcast devolves and evolves very quickly. I didn’t have that much fun in a while and we discuss one of the true modern classics, Indien, and we get very, very serious about it.

Episode 34 – The Odessa File – Die Akte Odessa – 1974

A very serious movie gets the very serious FFPÖ-treatment and we have one of the best new co-hosts to help us out: the funny and insightful Sonja Pikart discusses with me topics such us: 70s progressiveness, German sleeping culture, laziness, great set design and Chekhov’s gun.

Episode 33 – Schoolgirl Report Part 1: What Parents Don’t Think Is Possible – 1970

Since we covered the second part of this movie anthology (and it was the most successful FFPÖ episode to date) we thought we cover the first part of this colorful German/Austrian) phenomenon! Tamas Vamos is the best co-host for this cause and we talk about vats of ejaculate, horse on horse fantasies and 70s moralities. It is just as fun as the first time around.

Episode 32 – Perry Rhodan – SOS aus dem Weltall (Mission Stardust, …4 …3 …2 …1 …morte) – 1967

What is this about not having enough weird German Sci-Fi on our show? Well, my new and exciting and excited co-host Malinda Perera try our weirdest with a german book adaptation done by Italians and starring the crew from the generic handsome American School of the Arts. We discuss bad effects, nebulous plot, savagery and many more aspects of this sixties movie and we had a great time.

Episode 31 – Sissi – Fateful Years of an Empress – 1957

The amazing and very talented Georg Rauber (aka: Shniit Schneyder) sits down with me to mercy kill the last movie in this “amazing” trilogy. We discuss players, Arnold Schwarzenegger, good product placement and the fact that as a rich, royal and privileged person in the 1800s you were just a person with a smartphone today.

Episode 30 – The Black Hole – Das schwarze Loch – 1979

We are getting dragged down by the black (plot)hole of this movie and start to feel symptoms of time-dilution but I have the charming and witty Azar Milanian at my side to help me through this drag of a movie, great special effects and cool robots aside. We discuss and hypothesize about robotfeelings, bad spaceship construction, amazing cinematography, weird mixer hands and what it means to keep the legacy of robots alive! We were very confused.

Sam Ford joins us today to discuss the 6th episode of Space Patrol Orion and we have a grand time! Catholics show up, great special effects are discussed, the lighting and the weird lightning get a special mention. Truly one of the better episodes of this series.

Episode 25 – Silentium – 2004

Luke Hacker is back and we continue our journey through the Brenner-series of movies with one of the strongest entries. Salzburg provides the perfect background for this intriguing story about murder, suicide, big money, big opera and being reborn in the eyes of the Lord! And we try to derive humor from it.
